Who sees what
Everyone signed inYour username, profile picture and title. Fit notes you give catalog items, without your name. Photos you share with the catalog once they’re approved. Catalog items only show how many people own or want them, never who.
Friends you’ve acceptedYour wishlist, collection, outfits, what you paid (unless you hide it in Settings), and your stories. Stories can be limited to close friends. On a catalog item, friends can see that you own or want it, with your size and colour.
ModeratorsCatalog items you add, reports and suggestions you send, and photos you share, with your username, so they can be checked. They don’t see your lists, notes or measurements.

Anyone with a share linkOnly what’s in that link: one item or outfit, or an invite with your username, profile picture, title and how many items and outfits you have. Links show a preview card in chats.
The catalog
Items with a shop link are added to the shared catalog, unless you made them private or handmade. Only the product goes in: name, brand, type, material, shop link, shop photos and the shop’s price. Your size, colour, what you paid, notes and own photos stay yours. Every new item is approved by a moderator first.
Photos
Photos are private. Only you and your friends can open them. A share link carries its own photo links, which work for a year, and a preview card that anyone with the link can see. Photos you choose to share with the catalog are checked first, then anyone signed in can see them. You can take them back any time.
What GearWatch doesn’t do
No ads and no tracking. Nothing is sold or passed on.
Where it lives
Accounts, lists and photos are stored with Supabase. When you check a price or fill in from a link, that shop link goes through GearWatch’s price helper on Cloudflare. Nothing about you is sent with it. Phone notifications are delivered by Apple, Google or your browser’s push service, and only carry the notification text.
Deleting
Settings › Delete account removes your account, lists, photos, stories and friends for good. Catalog items you added stay in the catalog without your name.
